A new video uploaded onto the web is telling us even more about the recently unveiled Porsche Mission E Concept.
If you are a petrol head than you most likely know everything there is to know about the recently unveiled Porsche Mission E, which has made its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. But you can always find out more about the one-off vehicle and the video posted below is helping you do that. The clip is showing Michael Mauer, the creator of the impressive ride, talk about the Mission E.
The Porsche Mission E Concept is going to become a direct competitor for the Tesla Model S, that is if it will be given the green light for production. Rumor has it that the final variant of the “green” vehicle will be rolling off the assembly line by the end of this decade, but no official statements on the topic have been made at this point. The vehicle is bringing four individual slim and lightweight seats in the cabin, the eye-tracking system and several OLED screens, which are replacing most of the buttons and knobs. The company is also bringing the holographic display which is extending to the passenger’s side, showing the individually selectable and controllable apps, including the climate control, media, navigation and others.
Under its hood it has two electric motors, with a total of 600 HP (440 kW) and an 800-volt drive system. The batteries can be recharged up to 80 percent in 15 minutes providing enough juice for 400 km (248 miles). The Mission E has all-wheel steering and all-wheel drive and it can go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in less than 12 seconds.
