Ford has brought the new Mustang GT350R to London recently where its loud engine has managed to scare a lot of people.
“Social experiments” and car manufacturers don’t really go hand in hand but companies have to promote their products every possible way and the new Shelby Mustang GT350R makes no exception. Ford has brought the impressive muscle car to London where it was admired by a lot of people, who have posed next to it. In the next “level”, the engine has been started and revved making bystanders jump out of their shoes. Take a look at Ford’s “experiment” below.
The new Shelby GT350R Mustang is getting a new body kit, with a more aerodynamic diffuser, updated fender vents, a front splitter and a hood vent. Under its hood we can find the 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which is capable of putting down no less than 526 HP (392 kW) and a peak torque of 580 Nm (429 lb-ft). The carmaker is cheap on providing performance figures on the impressive muscle car but these have to be good, considering the fact that we are talking about a modern muscle car with an aerodynamic body. Don’t expect anything similar to the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, however. Chances are Ford will bring the GT350R Mustang to the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and the rest of the figures will be announced then.
