The North American based automaker Ford has recently introduced some Mountune upgrades for its two hot hatches, the Fiesta ST and the Focus ST.
According to the car manufacturer, the new Mountune upgrades can be installed in less than 90 minutes on the Fiesta ST and on the Focus ST and the price of this package has been set from 599 GBP for the B-segment hot hatch and from 1,225 GBP for the bigger version. Speaking of the bigger version, we must tell you that the Focus ST can now get a larger alloy intercooler, a cast alloy inlet duct, high-flow air filter and optimized ECU.
Thanks to these upgrades, the 2.0 liter turbocharged unit is now producing a total output of 275 HP (202 kW) and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb-ft), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in less than 6 seconds. The Ford Focus ST has also got the high-flow air filter, the new air box and the optimized ECU, and the 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine is now good for 215 HP (158 kW) and 320 Nm of torque (236 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is done in 6.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than in the standard car.
