Ford has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the Mustang Cobra Jet Concept, during the 2012 SEMA Motor Show.
According to the North American based automaker, the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet Concept has been fitted with two turbochargers which will provide a significant power increase without the losses related to superchargers and the model is getting the smallest possible turbos in order to obtain the necessary airflow. Ford says that the 2.9 liter blower on the 2013 Cobra Jet needs 100 HP to drive the supercharger.
Unfortunately we don’t have any performance or specification details on the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet Concept for the moment and we will have to wait for the company to release them, but as a quick reminder, the 2013 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is coming with a 5.0 liter V8 engine, available with or without the 2.9 Whippe supercharger. Prices for the model were starting at 85,490 USD over-seas and production was limited to just 50 units.
