Ford’s European branch has released a new video with the range-topping version of the Mustang, the GT.
After being introduced on the Old Continent just a few months back, the brand new Ford Mustang is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new video. The clip, which has been posted below, has been signed by the blue oval and it is showing the popular muscle car, in its range-topping variant, the GT, taking a fast lap around the famous Silverstone track. You may want to turn the volume up before clicking the play button. Ford says that six GoPro cameras have been used to make the footage, along with two other cameras mounted on the front bumper and a drone.
The European version of the Ford Mustang is being offered in two versions, the EcoBoost and the GT. The first one has a 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, which is capable of putting down a total of 317 HP (233 kW) and 432 Nm (318 lb-ft) of torque. This means that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.8 seconds and to burn an average of 8.0 liters of fuel every 100 km. The range-topping model, the Mustang GT, is making use of a 5.0 liter V8 unit. The engine is capable of sending 421 HP (309 kW) and 530 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration made in 4.8 seconds.
