The North American based automaker Ford has recently released a new clip with the 2015 Mustang in which its aerodynamics are being highlighted.
The new generation of the Ford Mustang is being placed into the spotlights once again, after it has been officially unveiled just a few months ago, this time with the help of a new video. The footage posted below is highlighting the muscle car’s aerodynamics and it’s also showing some of the company’s executives talk about this subject too.
The Ford Mustang is the company’s first model to use the “wheel aero curtains” which channel air from the front of it to openings in the wheel wells as the air is then redirected on the outer surface of the wheels. Three different grilles have also been created and they correspond to all three engines available for the new Mustang generation.
The 2015 Ford Mustang is coming with a choice of three engines and, for the first time in history, a four-cylinder unit is also being offered. This is coming as a mid-range and it has 2.3 liters in displacement. The EcoBoost is good for 305 HP (227 kW) and 406 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque. The entry-level version has a 300 HP (223 kW) and 365 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque 3.7 liter V6 and the top of the line is getting a 5.0 liter V8 with 420 HP (313 kW) and 528 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque.
