The game has been out for some time now and players might feel a bit bored – but the developers have something new for the simulation aficionados.
This is because there’s a new expansion pack available which brings the NASCAR roster to the series – and best of all you can snatch the cars and pit them against vehicles from other series as well. The pack adds two-dozen extra cars and an additional track for the Xbox One game that was already pretty stocked with features. Players will need to shell out 20 bucks and will get in on the high-speed, close-quarters racing action that brings the 24 cars in their 2016 liveries from many of the largest teams in Nascar, such as Joe Gibbs Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, and Team Penske. The racetrack that has been added is the Homestead-Miami Speedway and the developer is introducing a more complex drafting model that fits the Nascar tight competition, as well as the addition of rolling starts.
With the expansion fans will also get NASCAR World Tour racing campaign which allows players to have the series’ cars on tracks around the world compete against a wide array of other motorsport vehicles. With the pack, all in all, about ten hours of gameplay have been added. You can see in the video embedded below some of the options – such as taking it up against World Endurance Championship prototypes at Le Mans or the IndyCar Series at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
