Fiat Chrysler Automobiles continues with its advertising campaigns that make some of the best cultural references – its latest advertising for the Chrysler 300 model is narrated by “Game of Thrones” actor Peter Dinklage.
Right on time for the fifth season for the medieval saga inspired by George R.R. Martin’s work of fiction, Chrysler sees America cast in a role of a land that has no royalties – but also a place where kings and queens might rise to prominence regardless of their background. The narrator, actor Peter Dinklage, plays in the HBO TV series a member of the House of Lannister, one of the powerful royal families that clash for power in the land of “Westeros”. Dinklage makes a stylish characterization to America, as its upcoming royalties will be modern-day conquerors that use the services of the Chrysler 300 in their process of rising to fame. With Dinklage as the narrator, the commercial is also using NBA assistant coach Becky Hammon, Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, jewelry designer Mercedes Yvette and other famous entrepreneurs as contemporary reincarnations of royal family members from long lost ages.
The 60-second ad, called “The Kings & Queens of America,” has just started airing, as the Game of Thrones series is getting ready to also air its first episode from the fifth season. “The Chrysler brand celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of Americans who refuse to give up, dedicate themselves to a craft and have the guts to turn dreams into reality,” commented Olivier Francois, chief marketing officer for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The campaign will also have three more 30-second television ads in the “Drive Proud” series, centered around crucial attributes of the Chrysler 300.
