A new mysterious startup automaker, based in Saint Yorre, France, has managed to keep us busy for the second time today, and after it teased its Akylone earlier, the “car manufacturer” has decided to officially unveil it.
Genty’s Akylone seems to be a mix of different supercars, with the headlights from a Koenigsegg, the taillights from an Aston Martin, the body of a Noble and the rear end of a McLaren, so you can’t say its designers are original.
Chances are that this would be the last time we hear about this “supercar” unless a celebrity buys one and then crashes it in a spectacular way, but either so we’ll tell you once again that the Genty Akylone can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.2 seconds and from 0 to 300 km/h in 14 seconds, with a top speed of 354 km/h.
The Genty Akylone is powered by a twin supercharged 4.8 liter V8 engine, delivering over 1.000 horsepower and 1.273 Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed sequential transmission which is moving the rear wheels.
There’s no word on pricing yet and Akylone says the production will be limited to 15 units. You can watch the video below. Enjoy!
