The brand new Honda Civic Type R will be officially unveiled in a world premiere in March, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
After a lot of spy shots and teaser images, the brand new Honda Civic Type R is just around the corner from being officially unveiled. The new Japanese hot hatch will be making its public debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, this March, as the company has recently announced, and this should be quite an impressive ride considering the fact that it has high expectations.
“Geneva will see the global premiere of the Honda Civic Type R production car. The ‘race car for the road‘ will be the most extreme Type R ever built, with blistering performance and thrilling dynamics that set new standards in the segment”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The 2016 Honda Civic Type R will be getting an aerodynamic body kit which will make it instantly recognizable. The model should pack a large rear diffuser, a prominent rear wing, four tailpipe exhaust system and large alloy wheels, amongst others. The hot hatch will be taking its power from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is expected to produce a total of 320 HP. The Honda Civic Type R will become a rival for the Renault Megane RS, Ford Focus RS, Volkswagen Golf R, Mercedes A45 AMG and several other vehicles. More details on it are limited at this time and will most likely be announced at the Swiss automotive event.
