The all-new HondaLink infotainment system has just been introduced ahead of its official debut on the 2013 Honda Accord.
The Japanese based automaker Honda has recently pulled the wraps off its HondaLink Infotainment System, even if this should have made its debut on the 2013 Accord model. Honda says that the HondaLink infotainment system is offering a lot of interesting “goodies” to its future customers, and it has been designed for internet addicted drivers, allowing them to listen to Facebook, Twitter, podcasts or internet-based radio. The new HondaLink infotainment system is also offering voice recognition technology and the Yelp! location-based restaurant listings.
“HondaLink will enable customers to put away their phone and still stay connected to the people, music and media they love. By creating an intuitive and customizable user interface, the HondaLink allows drivers to access digital content as easily as choosing a radio station”, as the assistant vice president of product planning for American Honda, Vicki Poponi, said.
Honda says that the HondaLink EV system will be offered on the Fit EV and on the Accord Plug-In Hybrid and this will have the same features as the standard system, but it will allow its users to view the battery status, activate the heater or air conditioning from their smartphones or initiate charging.
