O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree, how Hennessey Performance’s treating you… It is the season to be jolly and it is the season to make sure your Christmas tree reaches your house…

Hennessey Performance has decided to advertise the fastest way of getting the much-desired tree at home… using its new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody version of the well-known muscle car. The company did its homework in a precise manner – they affixed it to a set of roof rails then took the supercharged monster onto the Continental Tires’ test track in Texas to see how the hauling of the tree… affects everyday life.

The Challenger actually reaches 174 miles per hour (280 kph) – and it seems the company’s Christmas party (we imagine that’s where the speedy tree ended) includes smoked conifers, thanks to the lengthy burnout at the end. It’s all in good fun, especially if you decide to gift yourself for Christmas not merely a tree, but also the means to haul it fast. We’re talking about the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody – the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 707 horsepower (527 kilowatts) and 650 pound-feet (881 Newton-meters) of torque remains in place, and Hennessey adds 3.5 inches (8.9 centimeters) of wider fenders, allowing for the fitting of 20-inch 305/35 Pirelli P-Zero tires, above the standard 275 millimeters.
