The South Korean based automaker has decided to enter our news once again and after it has teased several times its new Genesis Coupe, Hyundai has decided to release a video where the 2012 Azera sedan is playing the main role, just ahead of its world debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Placed in the Hyundai lineup between the Sonata Compact and the Genesis Sedan, the new Azera was rumored to be powered by a 3.8 liter V6 engine which was supposed to develop 333 horsepower, by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder supercharged with 274 HP, by a 3.0 liter GDI direct injection with its 266 HP and 310 Nm of torque and by a 2.4 liter GDI with 198 HP and 250 Nm.
However, the South Korean based automaker is planning something else for the 2012 Azera sedan, which might come in the shape of a V6 which will generate 293 horsepower in standard, as the video description tells us.
“Here’s a visual treat. An appetizer of sorts, for the North American public reveal of the 2012 Azera at the Los Angeles Auto Show. See great shots of this spacious V6 sedan that’s bug on quiet, comfort and smooth power. The details are impressive and include: leather seating surfaces, 19-inch alloy wheels, 9 airbags, 29 MPG Hwy and 293 hp – standard”.
Sadly this is all we know for now about the 2012 Hyundai Azera but more details will be announced once the model will be officially presented at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2012 Hyundai Azera might hit the United States showrooms sometimes next year.
