A new generation of the Tucson / ix35 will be officially presented to the public by Hyundai during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, next month.
Compact crossover lovers will be glad to find out that the South Korean based automaker Hyundai is currently working on a new generation of the Tucson / ix35, which will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The announcement has been made by the company which is currently teasing out the model.
“Our new compact SUV will be a big step forward for the Hyundai brand globally. Its design is characterized by flowing surfaces, bold proportions, sharp lines and—most important—our brand signature hexagonal grille”, said Peter Schreyer, the Hyundai design chief.
The original version of the Hyundai Tucson, or the ix35 as it is currently known in some markets, has been officially introduced back in 2005 and it stayed on the market until 2010, when the second generation has seen daylight. Now, five years later, the car manufacturer is planning on introducing the third generation of the model which will be officially presented to the public on the 3rd of March, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. We have no clue on what the vehicle will be looking like but we are expecting an evolutionary design which will make it instantly recognizable as a Hyundai. New technologies should be added to it, along with a completely new engine lineup. More details on the model are limited for the moment.
