[VIDEO] IIHS frontal crash test between Ford F150 and Honda Civic

After being awarded with the “Top Safety Pick” earlier this year by the IIHS, the American version of EuroNCAP has placed the Ford F150 against another challenge, a frontal crash test with the Honda Civic, and surprisingly, both vehicles came out of that pretty well.

Traffic deaths are down by 64 percent in the United States since the year 2.000 and the results can be devastating for occupants of the latter, but thanks to measures employed by the automakers, the roads are now safer, and this test is just another step into making them even safer.

The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) is a US non-profit organization founded by auto insurers that works to reduce the number of motor vehicle crashes and rate of injuries. The IIHS’s crash tests differs from the ones made by the American government’s NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).
