It can be anything at this point but a roadster version of the Lamborghini Huracan is the most plausible model.
Lamborghini has released a teaser video a few days back announcing “something” for this edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show. There have been a lot of speculations on what this will actually be, starting with the production version of the Asterion and ending with yet another exclusive supercar but chances are we are talking about the Huracan Spyder. The clip posted below is not telling us anything more except “The Sky Will Never Be The Same”, suggesting probably that the roof of the Huracan will be dropped, and the press conference at the German automotive event, which will see its debut, on the 15th of September.
The Sant’Agata Bolognese based automaker has fallen behind its main competitors as McLaren is already offering a 650S Spider and Ferrari has recently introduced the 488 Spider as well which is another reason why a Huracan Spyder is likely to be just around the corner. If this will be the precise model, than we can talk about the 5.2 liter V10 naturally aspirated unit, borrowed from its solid roof brother, which will most likely produce the same 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The Huracan Coupe needs just 3.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can go up to a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph), so expect similar performance from the Spyder.
