A new review of the Jaguar XE has been uploaded onto the web and it is comparing the mid-sized British sedan to one of its main rivals, the BMW 3-Series.
The guys from XCAR are trying to find out whether or not the Jaguar XE has what it takes in order to beat the BMW 3-Series. This is a pretty tough question to ask because this review is not about personal taste and what the average customers enjoys and it is really trying to answer some real questions. If you are looking towards the new XE and you would like to find out more about it, or if you are on the verge of buying a 3-Series and you’ve suddenly discovered a true rival other than the C-Class, then go ahead and click the play button.
The Jaguar XE has been officially presented to the public more than a year ago, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Production of the car has begun in mid-April 2015 and this is the first model in this segment since the X-Type. It has been designed by Ian Callum and it has a four-door sedan body style, with a front engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The XE is currently being put together in Solihull, West Midlands, and it has a 2.0L four-cylinder petrol engine, a 2.0L four-cylinder diesel unit and a 3.0L supercharged V6. Transmission options include the 6-speed manual or the 8-speed automatic. Rumor has it that the XE will soon receive an M3 competitor, with the SVR moniker on its body.
