Well known design house Italdesign has revealed yet another teaser for its upcoming concept, but this time it hasn’t been cheap on details – we have a shape and also more importantly the name: GT Zero.
So we have a way more revealing teaser that allows us to catch a glimpse of the prototype’s shape and also we have a calling code. Labeled “GT Zero” we’re thus thinking we could be granted a Gran Turismo with some kind of eco-friendly powertrain that should come with zero emissions. Seen from the side, the concept sports a very low profile with sloped roofline, a short rear overhang and bulging fenders. Details concerning the powertrain – most likely a pure electric one – have not been revealed yet but judging by the house’s ideas (just remember last year’s spectacular GEA concept, which had a four-electric motors assembly churning out a combined output of 764 hp) we’re sure to be in for a treat.
By the way, if you don’t remember, today Italdesign Giugiaro is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group’s Audi following founder Giorgetto Giugiaro’s exit out of the company last year, when he also divested his remaining stake in the company. The GT Zero concept we will get to see in the metal in just a few hours when the Geneva Motor Show kicks off has been penned by the design house’s new boss Filippo Perini who took over in September 2015. We’re expecting the GT Zero concept to remain what it is – a show car – without any follow-up in series production.
