The very first official teaser with the brand new Renault Sandero RS has been released recently by the French based automaker.
Renault has officially confirmed the development and launch of a new Sandero RS and this particular model has been teased in the video posted below. The clip in question isn’t revealing that much as the car is shown in a dark environment, with its headlights turned on and with some mild camouflage covering its body. We can see the redesigned front bumper, however, along with the LED daytime running lights.
The upcoming Renault Sandero RS will be the first ever hot hatch version of the popular model. This will be coming with a more aggressive body kit, which will make it stand out thanks to the redesigned front and rear bumpers, to the tweaked side skirts, to the rear diffuser and several other bits. This will also get a dual exhaust tip layout, along with the larger black wheels wrapped in Continental tires.
Its interior design will be slightly updated too as here we are expecting some sportier seats and the RS badges covering the steering wheel, gearshift lever and dashboard. It remains a mystery at this time what engine this will be using but rumor has it that it will be a naturally aspirated one, possibly the 2.0 liter 16-valve from the BR-spec Duster, which is rated at 143 HP when running on gasoline. The unit will be connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. Considering the fact that it is wearing Renault badges, this means that it will be sold in markets where Dacia is not commercially available, such as Brazil and Russia.
