[VIDEO] Jaguar F-Type R testing on the Nurburgring
The Jaguar F-Type R has been recently caught while it was being tested on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
With the Jaguar F-Type going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Britain just as we are writing this article, an older video found on the web is making the sports car end up in our news once again. The new material with the Jaguar F-Type is revealing the British sports car testing on the Nurburgring, with its dual quad exhaust layout which might suggest that a more powerful engine can be found under its hood.
The Jaguar F-Type has already been confirmed for production by the car manufacturer and the two-seater roadster will be available with a choice of two engines, the 3.0 liter V6 supercharged in two power outputs, with 380 HP and 460 Nm of torque (339 lb-ft) and with 340 HP and 450 Nm of torque (332 lb-ft), along with a more powerful 5.0 liter supercharged V8 unit, the same one used in the XFR, XJ, XKR and XKR-S. This latest engine is expected to produce a total output of 503 HP and 542 lb-ft of torque. The final production version of the Jaguar F-Type will be officially presented to the public later this year, followed by a market launch in 2013.
