Autocar has recently tested two of the hottest E-segment vehicles available for order, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and the Jaguar XFR-S.
The all-new Jaguar XFR-S is probably one of the most underrated vehicle in its segment but the guys at Autocar have recently placed it against one of its main rivals, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, to prove itself. The two powerful sedans have been taken to a deserted road where they have been unleashed one against another, so if you’re looking into buying such a vehicle, you should definitely check out the video posted below.
The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is powered by a 5.5 liter V8 engine, which is good for 550 HP (405 kW) and 719 Nm of torque (531 lb-ft). Power is sent to the 4MATIC AWD system. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes just 4.2 seconds in the facelifted E63 AMG. The Jaguar XFR-S is getting a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine under its hood, which is producing 542 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm of torque (502 lb-ft). The unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.6 seconds and top speed stands at 300 km/h (186 mph).
