[VIDEO] Jay Leno drives the Jaguar Project 7 Speedster and the F-Type V8 S
Jay Leno has recently gotten behind the wheel in two of Jaguar’s most impressive cars, the Project 7 Speedster and the F-Type V8 S.
One of the most famous petrol heads out there, Jay Leno, is driving the impressive Project 7 Speedster in his latest video. The model has been developed as a tribute to the Jaguar D-Type racing car, produced in the mid-50s, which managed to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans, back in 1955, 1956 and 1957.
The model is based on the F-Type and it’s powered by a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine, which is good for 550 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.2 seconds and top speed stands at 300 km/h (186 mph).
Besides the Project 7 Speedster, Jay Leno has also tested the top of the line version of the F-Type. This is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 495 HP and it has a peak torque of 460 lb-ft. The model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and it has a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
