The US automaker has taken the wraps off the brand new Renegade Dawn of Justice Special Edition that pays tribute to the company’s collaboration with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.
The limited series has been developed starting from the Renegade Latitude and packs a Granite Crystal or Carbon Black exterior shade with gloss black accents and 18-inch alloys also treated to a gloss black finish. The special model has less modifications inside the cabin where it sports black cloth seats, gloss black trim, and Metal Diamond accents. There’s also a rearview camera and the Popular Equipment Group that packs a remote starter, a power driver’s seat, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system.
Power comes courtesy of the 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine that churns out 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque – mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system. The Renegade can be seen in a short commercial that features Ben Affleck’s mature take on the Bruce Wayne playboy / caped crusader. We already knew from the other trailers that during the sequence that depicts General Zod and Superman fighting on the city floor the billionaire is doing something in that Renegade – maybe charity. Anyways, this special edition will reach dealerships later this month to coincide with the blockbuster’s premiere and pricing will go from $26,250 (excluding destination costs).
