The Swedish supercar Koenigsegg Agera R has been recently caught on camera while doing 250 mph on the Nurburgring.
The new Koenigsegg Agera R has been officially presented to the public last month during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and with the supercar going on sale later this year, the company’s test drivers have taken it on the famous German track, the Nurburgring, where the model managed to achieve an impressive 250 mph. The new Agera R is available in both right and left-hand drive, coming with 120 liters of luggage space and detachable and stowable hardtop.
Power to the new Swedish supercar is being provided by the 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 1,115 horsepower and has a peak torque of 885 lb-ft on E85 fuel, but if the tank is filled on 95-octane gasoline, the output drops to 940 HP and 811 lb-ft of torque. The rev limited has been raised from 7,250 rpm to 7,500 rpm and the suspension has been updated. The Agera R is now coming with the KES (Koenigsegg Stability Control). The 0 to 62 mph acceleration takes 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 mph the supercar can accelerate in just 17,68 seconds.
