A Koenigsegg CCR has hit bystanders at the Gran Turismo Polonia event just a few days ago and several spectators have been seriously injured.
The driver of a Koenigsegg CCR has lost control of the wheel during the 2013 Gran Turismo Polonia and crashed into bystanders, seriously injuring several spectators. According to the local media, four spectators were seriously injured and 15 more have also suffered some minor injuries. The two videos posted below are showing the moment of impact so keep in mind that viewer discretion is advised.
As a quick reminder, the Koenigsegg CCR has been in production between 2004 and 2006 and just 14 units have been built. The supercar has been assembled in Sweden and it came in a two-door Targa top with a rear mid-engine rear-wheel drive layout, being powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine, producing a total output of 795 HP (593 kW) at 6,900 rpm and 920 Nm of torque (680 lb-ft), available at 5,700 rpm. The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, helping the model accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 395 km/h (245 mph). The quarter mile is done in 9.7 seconds at 235 km/h (146 mph).
