Lamborghini has released the first video with the recently unveiled Asterion in which its hybrid system, and not only, is being detailed, for the very first time.
After making quite a fuzz with its official unveil a few days ago, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the Lamborghini Asterion is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of its first official clip. The video posted below is highlighting some of the features of the model and it is also putting the hybrid system into the spotlights, for the very first time, so you can see if this can become a competitor for the LaFerrari, 918 Spyder and P1.
The Lamborghini Asterion is packing a 5.2 liter V10 gasoline burner under its hood, from the Huracan, rated at 610 HP, backed up by three electric motor, which are providing an extra 300 HP. The total output produced by this assembly stands at a whopping 910 HP (669 kW). Lambo says that the Asterion can be driven in electric mode for up to 50 km and it can reach speeds of up to 125 km/h (78 mph). When being driven as a hybrid, the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 3 seconds and top speed stands at 320 km/h (199 mph). The average fuel consumption of the hybrid supercar stands at 4.2L / 100km (67.2 mpg UK / 56 mpg US).
