The Lamborghini Aventador is a good competitor for the 2013 Gay Car of the Year award, after seeing the video posted below.
Owning a Lamborghini Aventador is like screaming “look at me, I’m not bald, fat and old, I’m 25 and I’m on steroids”, and we won’t even start talking about celebrities who own the model. But from having a two-seater rear mid-engined supercar and getting three guys in it is a huge step. I mean, sure, I get it, one guy and two girls would have made the Aventador compete for the Macho Car of the Year, but I still don’t get it how someone says “OK, I’ll go for a spin in my expensive two-seat Italian supercar with another two guys”. Except if that someone is Elton John.
As a quick reminder, the Lamborghini Aventador is taking its power from a large 6.5 liter V12 engine which is producing a total output of 690 horsepower. The unit is mated to a seven-speed single clutch transmission, which is helping the Italian supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph). The Lamborghini Aventador is burning an average of 17.2 liters of fuel every 100 km (13.5 mpg) and it’s emitting 398 g/km of CO2.
