The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster and the McLaren MP4-12C have been recently put together in an impressive drag race.
Earlier today, we have shown you the AMS upgraded McLaren MP4-12C, which managed to do a quarter mile in just 10.1 seconds. Now, the beast returns in a drag race against one impressive drop top exotic, the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. Keep in mind that the British supercar is not your ordinary ride because it has been significantly upgraded and it is now capable of sending no less than 616 HP to the rear wheels, squeezed from its 3.8 liter twin turbo engine, which has been modified.
The standard version of the McLaren MP4-12C is putting down a total of 592 HP (441 kW) and 601 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, from the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine. This is enough to allow it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h). The MP4-12C has been replaced, last year, by the 650S Coupe.
The Lamborghini Aventador, on the other hand, is the company’s flagship model. This has been in production since 2011 and it is offered in two body styles, coupe and roadster, both of them with a mid-engine and all-wheel drive. Power is provided by a naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 unit, rated at 690 HP (510 kW) and 690 Nm (510 lb-ft) of torque. It can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h).
