The famous North American based tuning company Hennessey Performance has recently put together a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster against a Lamborghini Aventador for a one-mile drag race.
The Hennessey Performance company is known worldwide for making one of the hottest aftermarket upgrade packages for both the engine and the body but now, the tuning firm is entering our news with a different “problem”, which had to be settled in a drag race. According to the aftermarket specialists at Hennessey Performance, a Lamborghini Aventador and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster have been put aside for a one-mile drag race. What came out can be seen in the video below. Hennessey Performance says that both vehicles were factory stock without any modifications.
As a quick reminder, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster is getting a 6.3 liter V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 563 horsepower (571 PS / 420 kW) and a peak torque of 650 Nm (470 lb-ft), while the Lamborghini Aventador is powered by a larger 6.5 liter V12 engine, which is providing an impressive 690 HP (700 PS / 515 kW) and 690 Nm of torque (509 lb-ft). The Aventador can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds while the SLS AMG Roadster needs 3.7 seconds.
