[VIDEO] Lamborghini Gallardo hits 400 km/h than ignites itself
Another spectacular incident involving the Lamborghini Gallardo has been recorded once again and this time we are talking about a heavily modified supercar.
Taking a very fast supercar and trying to transform it into an even faster vehicle can turn out to be tricky sometimes as the driver of this heavily modified Lamborghini Gallardo has found out, the hard way. The Italian supercar in question has received a pair of turbos and some other tweaks which were helping it to produce a whopping 2,500 horsepower. The vehicle was then taken to a track where it achieved 402 km/h (250 mph) in less than 24 seconds.
All of this power seems to have been a little bit too much for the impressive ride which, despite managing to cover a mile at more than 400 km/h it burst into flames. The whole incident was recorded by a camera fitted in its cabin and we can see smoke coming out from underneath it. The driver had no other choice than to pull over and abandon the beast. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to try and salvage the heavily modified Lamborghini Gallardo, which has been signed by Underground Racing.
