A video depicting a drag race between the Lamborghini Huracan and the McLaren MP4-12C has recently hit the web and it is showing some impressive performance from both supercars.
Did you ever wonder which is faster between a Lamborghini Huracan and a McLaren MP4-12C? Well, if the answer is “yes”, than you have come to the right place because the two European supercars have been recently placed one against another, on a drag strip, and the result may surprise you. Keep in mind that the “driver factor” might be blamed for the result.
The McLaren MP4-12C has left the production line last year in order to make room for its successor, the 650S. The model was offered in a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout, with two body styles, two-door coupe and two-door roadster. Both had the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under their hoods, rated at 592 HP (441 kW) and 601 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 7-speed automatic dual clutch transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint took just 3 seconds and top speed stood at 333 km/h (207 mph).
The Lamborghini Huracan has been shown in Geneva, last year, and it came as a replacement for the Gallardo. This has a mid-engine and all-wheel drive layout, along with the 5.2 liter V10 engine under its hood, connected to a 7-speed dual clutch automated manual transmission. The unit is rated at 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. It needs 3.2s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can go all he way up to 325 km/h (202 mph).
