A Lamborghini Huracan supercar has been recently put against an impressive Russian jet fighter to provide something you don’t see every day, a drag race between the two of them.
I’m pretty sure most of you who came to see the video remember the classic Bugatti Veyron vs. plane drag race put together by Top Gear a few years back, but you should know that this isn’t anything like that and it has been organized for pure fun and not for an audience. The plane used here is a Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker jet fighter, which is using a twin engine with a 3,530 km (2,193 mile) range, entering the Soviet Air Force back in 1985.
We won’t be spoilers and tell you who won this “amateur” drag race but the result is pretty obvious. The supercar used was a standard Lamborghini Huracan, which is taking its power from the upgraded 5.2 liter V10 naturally aspirated engine, rated at 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 3.2 seconds and top speed stands at 325 km/h (202 mph). The Huracan is the official successor of the Gallardo and it has been introduced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
