The Italian manufacturer might have posted an Easter Egg in its latest promo video that actually speaks of the trials and tribulations of getting the “Manifattura Lamborghini” factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese up to speed with the industrial 4.0 standard.
The company has decided to remind us of their planned production location expansion as they prepare for the start of production of their new model – the Urus crossover – and they might just have revealed the production version… albeit in a rather naked form. In the picture of the two men serendipitously working on a vehicle on the production line of the Sant’Agata factory we can clearly see they’re not tinkering with a stylish supercar with carbonfibre tub and rear-mounted engine.
Of course, since it’s a clearly intended Easter Egg, they’re actually not leaking anything we didn’t know for sure – as in the Urus has wheels, brakes and an exhaust. The new SUV is using the same Volkswagen Group MLB evo architecture as seen inside the Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga, although this SUV is certainly gunning for a place next to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. So, fans shouldn’t worry about not receiving a proper successor to the LM002 in the form of a front-engined, all-wheel drive, steel/aluminum-chassis marvel, with 4-litre twin-turbo V8 at the heart.
