The Italian based supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has recently released a teaser video with the Unica model, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show on the 6th of March.
While most of the automotive press is taking these two news separately, we are pretty convinced that the teaser video, which is presenting the Lamborghini Unica, and the leaked image on autoforum.cz are one and the same supercar, and the Geneva Motor Show will prove this. While the competition from Ferrari is getting ready to take on the Swiss automotive event with the new F12 Berlinetta, the successor of the 599 GTB, Lamborghini will launch the Unica, during the same show, along with the SUV model, which will be named the MLC.
As you can see from the image posted above, the Lamborghini Unica seems to be based on the popular Aventador, and basically this looks like the Aventador Roadster which has been stripped out of its windscreen and fitted with a hugely aggressive aerodynamic body kit. The Lamborghini Unica is rumored to share the same 6.5 liter V12 engine as the Aventador, but the unit might be boosted to develop over 700 horsepower. More details on the Lamborghini Unica will be announced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show on the 6th of March.
