Land Rover has released a new teaser video for the Discovery Sport, which will be officially unveiled over the next few months.
After telling us that the Range Rover Sport SVR is the fastest ever SUV on the Nurburgring, Land Rover is now placing a new model into the spotlights, the Discovery Sport. The vehicle in question is now teased in the video posted below after being previewed by the Discovery Vision Concept. The vehicle will be getting a familiar design and the company is saying that it will be able to seat up to seven people.
“As you would expect from a Discovery, the versatile Discovery Sport will feature optional 5+2 seating, offering spacious load space and configurable seating, while still retaining a more compact footprint than traditional 5-seat SUVs”, said the design director and chief creative officer for Land Rover, Gerry McGovern.
Rumors are saying that the new Land Rover Discovery Sport is expected to be offered with a range of petrol and diesel four-cylinder engines, which should put the ones on the current Freelander into the shadows. Land Rover hasn’t announced any details on the subject but the new vehicle might be unveiled in October, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, and more on it might be announced then.
