Lotus is showing a new clip with the 3-Eleven in which the roadster is being brought to the Nurburgring for some fast driving.
In case you have been missing the Lotus 3-Eleven, don’t worry, because the British based brand has gotten you covered with the help of a new video. The clip, which can be seen below, right after the jump, is showing us the model in action on the Nurburgring, for what is believed to be a fast and timed lap. Rumor has it that this has claimed a time of 7 minutes and 6 seconds but it never happened because the time is just a combination of the quickest sector times in two fast laps of Sport Auto.
The 7 minutes and 6 seconds time would have been extremely impressive and let’s not forget that the current record for the fastest production road-going vehicle on the Nurburgring is held by Porsche, with its 918 Spyder, which has managed to lap the famous German track in just 6 minutes and 57 seconds. We will remind you that the Lotus 3-Eleven has been officially unveiled earlier this year and that it has a new lightweight body and an open cockpit. Under its hood we can find the 3.6 liter supercharged V6 engine, signed by Toyota and borrowed from the Evora 400, producing 450 HP (336 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, available at 3,500 rpm. The unit is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited slip differential.
