The brand new Lotus 3-Eleven is the star of a new video which has been released by the British based brand recently.
In case you have been missing the Lotus 3-Eleven, don’t worry, because the car manufacturer has gotten you covered. The model in question is being placed into the spotlights once again, after it has been unveiled a few months back, this time with the help of a new video. The clip, which can be see below, right after the jump, is detailing some of its features and it is also showing us the model lapping the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife, as part of a “comprehensive test”, as the company is stating.
Lotus has already announced the Ring-time for its new sports vehicle as the model lapped the German track in just 7-minutes. This is actually extremely fast as the current Ring-King, the Porsche 918 Spyder, has done it in 6 minutes and 57 seconds. We will remind you that the Lotus 3-Eleven has an open cockpit and a new lightweight body, along with a 3.6 liter supercharged V6 engine, which has been mid-mounted. The unit has been made by Toyota and borrowed from the Evora 400. In this case, it is capable of putting down a total of 450 HP (336 kW) and a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), at 3,500 rpm. The engine is sending power to the wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox and a Torsen limited slip differential.
