Being actually a production version of the Neora concept, Luxgen has finally unveiled its 5 sedan at the 2012 Taipei Auto Show.
According to the manufacturer, the Luxgen5 is coming with a prominent grille, and aerodynamic body with a 0.28 drag-coefficient, LED headlights, Android-based THINK+ Touch infotainment system made with HTC, a nine-inch touchscreen display which can be used for directions, send / receive e-mails or accessing Facebook, leather seats, heads-up display, LCD/LED instrument cluster, aluminum trim and many more.

Having successfully launched itself as the pioneer for Smart Technology with the LUXGEN7 MPV and LUXGEN7 SUV, the car maker is now setting its sights on the battleground of the medium-large sedan market. The new design, targeted at the world market, will not only incorporate even more high-tech elements from the future but will also deliver an even innovative style”, as Luxgen said in its official press release.
The Luxgen5 is coming with two turbocharged engines, a 1.8 liter developing a total output of 150 horsepower and having a peak torque of 231 Nm (170 lb-ft) and a 2.0 liter unit generating 170 HP and 256 Nm of torque (189 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which is enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).
