Porsche has recently released a video in which professional racing driver Mark Webber and tennis player Maria Sharapova are taking a joyride in the impressive Porsche 918 Spyder.
When talking about making the new Porsche 918 Spyder more known to different circles, ailment Mark Webber and Maria Sharapova seem to have what it takes and so the hybrid supercar was loaned to the two of them, who took it out for a quick joyride. The sensations offered by the 918 Spyder can best be described by Maria’s reactions. The clip was recently released by Porsche and it can be seen below, after the jump.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is the company’s first ever hybrid supercar. The model in question has been introduced, in its final production form, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The vehicle is rivaling models such as the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari and it’s taking its power from a 4.6 liter V8 engine, rated at 608 HP (453 kW) and 528 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque. Two electric motors are providing a total output of 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is made in motorcycle time of 2.6 seconds and top speed stands at 345 km/h (214 mph).
