While running along in an oval doesn’t seem all that difficult, the Nascar races have taught us they’re both spectacular, entertaining, scary and mind-blowing. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg learned all that in a heartbeat.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is doing an interesting thing – he is touring all 50 US states in a bid to learn more about different communities – and for this week’s Facebook live, Zuckerberg gets a firsthand look at what it’s like riding shotgun in a stock Nascar racer. And he’s not doing it with someone who just started playing around – he’s being tutored by none other than Nascar legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. In the heart of Nascar country, Charlotte, North Carolina, the billionaire CEO put the helmet and strapped tight – expecting a wild ride with Earnhardt’s number 88 Chevrolet. The results are actually funny for us and pretty terrifying for Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg tries to keep and be cool – “we’re gonna start slow and ease our way into it here.” But almost immediately, he’s like “holy shit!” when the car takes off from the pit lane. Zuckerberg then plastered an ear-to-ear grin – even though he says he was “terrified” – while Earnhardt Jr. blasts around Charlotte raceway giving the Facebook CEO a pretty great Nascar experience. After a few laps, he even becomes the man – taking the car around the track himself…
