The Italian based automaker Maserati has recently released a new video with the Ghibli.
Maserati’s newest creation is named the Ghibli and the model is a smaller version of the Quattroporte which is adding something new, for the first time in the company’s history: a diesel engine. The diesel powered Maserati Ghibli is getting a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 unit under its hood, which is producing a total output of 275 HP (202 kW) and it has a peak torque of 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.3 seconds and it burns an average of 6.0 L of fuel every 100 km (47 mpg UK / 39.2 mpg US), while emitting 160 g/km of CO2.
Other engines available for the Ghibli are the 3.0 liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine, which is good for 330 HP (243 kW) and 500 Nm of torque (369 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 5.6 seconds in this version and average fuel consumption stands at 9.6 liters every 100 km (29.4 mpg UK / 24.5 mpg US). The top of the line version is coming with a 410 HP (301 kW) and 550 Nm of torque (405 lb-ft) engine. A new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission will also be offered on the model.
