After unveiling its luxury SUV at the Frankfort Motor Show this September, the Italians from Maserati show us an animated video where the principal ‘actor’ is Kubang.
With a pop-rock soundtrack and one-liners pulled from workplace inspiration posters, the video focuses on the brand’s racing and production history before moving to shots of an animated Kubang on the road.
The design of the Maserati Kubang has been created by the Maserati Style Center headed by Lorenzo Ramaciotti. The engine will be designed in Modena by Paolo Martinelli – Head of the Maserati Powertrain Department and for nearly 30 years at Ferrari.
When it will enter in production, no one knows yet. What we know is that it will be powered by both a Ferrari/Maserati-sourced 4.7-liter V8 and a 3.0-liter turbo diesel. The V8 should put out at least 450 horsepower, while the diesel offering will crank out more than 300 ponies.
It will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission which promises to deliver an engaging driving experience.
