The Mazda MX-5 and the Toyota GT86 have been put one against another in a new review.
Hearing about the Mazda MX-5 and the Toyota GT86 in a video may have you believe that this is nothing more than a simple drag race, but you are wrong because this particular clip has been signed by AutoExpress and it is showing Steve Sutcliffe behind the wheel of both budget sports cars, trying to figure it out which one is better. If you ignore the fact that comparing these two models has become almost a trend in the UK, you may end up enjoying this video.
Before clicking the play button, we will remind you that the Toyota GT86 has been around for a few years now. This is basically the same car as the Subaru BRZ or the Scion FR-S, as it is known over-seas, and it has a front engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The budget sports car is being offered in a coupe body style only and it has a 2.0 liter boxer four-cylinder engine under its hood, producing approximately 200 HP. This is connected to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Mazda MX-5, on the other hand, is one of the most popular roadsters out there. It has the same front engine and RWD layout and it can be bought with a 1.5 liter engine, producing 131 HP (96 kW), or a 2.0 liter, which is good for 160 HP (117 kW).
