A battle between the new generation of the Mazda MX-5 and the Subaru BRZ has been signed recently by the guys from Motor Trend.
The newest Head 2 Head episode is bringing forward two vehicles loved by petrol heads everywhere, the new Mazda MX-5 generation and the Subaru BRZ. The two models may be different, starting with their body style, a roadster for the MX-5 and a 2-door coupe for the BRZ, but their performance is similar and their pricing is not that different either, so which should the obvious choice be when aiming towards one of them? Well, the video posted below should answer a lot of question, so we will let you check it out.
The new Mazda MX-5 generation is already available for order. The model in question is being offered in the SE, the SE-L and the Sport versions, with an engine lineup which includes the 1.5 liter unit, with its 131 HP (96 kW) and a 2.0 liter, producing 160 HP (117 kW). The Subaru BRZ, on the other hand, has been around for quite a few years now and this is related to the Toyota GT86 / Scion FR-S. The model is being assembled in Japan and it has a two-door coupe body style, with a front-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. It is making use of a 2.0 liter boxer engine, connected to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, rated at 200 HP.
