A short comparison in a 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) acceleration test has placed the 570S and 650S one against another.
The difference in pricing between the McLaren 570S and the McLaren 650S is approximately 80,000 USD, over-seas, but is justifiable? Well, you will be surprised to find out how similar the performance of the two exotic models really is in this new video. The clip, which can be viewed right below, is showing us the 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) acceleration in both cars, so you might want to take a closer look at it.
The McLaren 650S is using a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood. This is the same unit as the one found on the rest of the carmaker’s lineup and it is producing a total of 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. The model needs just 3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can go up to a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph). The McLaren 570S has the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 but in this case, it’s producing 562 HP (419 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 3.2 seconds and top speed is 328 km/h (204 mph).
