The McLaren 650S has been recently put against the Lamborghini Aventador in a drag race which is finally proving which one is better.
The guys from Auto Express have recently pinned the McLaren 650S against the Lamborghini Aventador, in an interesting drag race, which is proving that the normal competitor for the Huracan is actually faster than the flagship Italian supercar. The Aventador has a bit more power than the 650S, along with an all-wheel drive system, which didn’t seem to help it in a simple drag race as the McLaren 650S turned out to be quite faster.
The McLaren 650S has replaced the MP4-12C and it has been officially unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The model packs the familiar 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo engine under its hood, which is rated at 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 3 seconds and top speed stands at 333 km/h (207 mph). The Lamborghini Aventador has been in production since 2011 and it has a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine under its hood, with 690 HP (510 kW) and 690 Nm (510 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is made in 3 seconds and top speed stands at 350 km/h (217 mph).
