A new video is putting together two impressive rear mid-engined supercars, the McLaren 650S and the Lamborghini Huracan.
Did you ever wonder which is faster between a Lamborghini Huracan and a McLaren 650S? Well, of course you have, but now you can find out the answer to that question thanks to a new video uploaded by CAR Magazine. The clip posted below is showing the two supercars in a drag race and it is basically rear-wheel drive versus all-wheel drive. We won’t be spoilers and tell you about the winner because it is obvious which one is faster.
The Lamborghini Huracan has been officially introduced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. This is the replacement of the Gallardo and it is currently being offered in a single body style, a two-door coupe, with a rear mid-engine and all-wheel drive layout. The supercar is using the same 5.2 liter V10 engine from its predecessor, which has been updated and it is now good for 602 HP (449 kW) and 650 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. It can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and it can go up to 325 km/h (202 mph).
The McLaren 650S has also been introduced during the same automotive event. This has replaced the MP4-12C and it has two body styles, coupe and roadster, both of them with the rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout and the updated 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 unit under the hood, rated at 641 HP (478 kW) and 689 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the British supercar needs just 3 seconds and it can go up to 333 km/h (207 mph).
