Another video is placing the McLaren 650S and the insane P1 against each other in a drag race.
We all know that the McLaren 650S is no match for a P1 but a video in which the two are going head to head simply cannot be ignored. The clip posted below is showing the two exotic rides in a short drag race, in full traffic. The winner is very obvious but we will still let you take a look at it.
The McLaren 650S has been unveiled back in 2014, at the Geneva Motor Show. This has replaced the MP4-12C and it has a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout, making use of the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine. This has been rated at 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque, which is enough to allow it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3 seconds and to go up to a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).
The P1 on the other hand is the fastest and most powerful McLaren ever. This is the spiritual successor of the F1 and it is also the company’s first hybrid. It was shown at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and it has a modified 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, backed up by an electric motor. The total output of 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque and from 0 to 100 km/h this needs 2.8 seconds. Top speed stands at 350 km/h (217 mph).
