[Video] McLaren 720S pitted against the 675LT, Ferrari F12 tdf, Porsche 918 and mighty Bugatti Chiron image

The British outlet has managed to deliver yet another impressive supercar – the all-new 720S – and reviews have been very positive so far, while fans of course want to know how does it stack up against the possible competition.

The 4.0-liter biturbocharged V8 gets 720 PS, along with 568 pound-feet (770 Newton meters) of torque – though the actual rating is a matter of hot debate, with reports of dyno testing coming with as much as 800 hp (596 kW) at the crank. This is probably why no one has thought it crazy for the British supercar to go against proper hypercars – the video here depicts both worlds, with supercars represented by the 675LT and the Ferrari F12 TDF, and the latter supported by the Porsche 918, and even the all-mighty Bugatti Chiron.

The location is a safe one – no street racing is involved here – at Thunderhill Raceway in California, with the supercar given the edge of going from a rolling start of around 45 miles per hour (72 kilometers per hour), then thundering towards 150 mph (241 kph). The 675LT is first and of course it’s an easy match for the 720S, which then surprisingly also takes down the F12 tdf, even with its powerful 730-hp (544-kW) engine. The Brits then go against the German Porsche 918, and narrowly manages to snatch the win – the 887-hp (661-kW) hypercar falls behind by about an arm’s length. Of course, the Chiron is a different story altogether…
