The British based automaker McLaren has recently announced its plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary during the 2013 Goodwood Festivl of Speed.
“As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, McLaren will showcase a selection of legendary models from the company’s heritage collection at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Alongside some of the most famous race- and championship-winning models from the brand’s illustrious past will be the latest model from McLaren GT which echoes a name with significant links to McLaren – the 12C GT Can-Am Edition – which will thrill crowds as it takes part in the run up the Goodwood Hill”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
As a quick reminder, the McLaren 12C GT Can-Am Edition is coming with an aerodynamic body kit, with a roll cage, with black racing seats, six-point harnesses, sports steering wheel and more. The model is powered by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 630 HP (470 kW). Prices for the McLaren 12C GT Can-Am Edition will be set at 375,000 GBP (444,600 EUR) and only 30 units will be produced. Additional details on the company’s 50th anniversary or the 12C GT Can-Am Edition remain unknown for the moment.
